ACCO Brands Announced as one of America’s Safest Companies for 2023 by EHS Today

EHS Today, the magazine for environment, health and safety leaders, has announced its list of the 2023 America’s Safest Companies. The 10 companies on the list are involved in a broad range of activities, from industrial contracting to robotics, from packaging to cabinetry, from paper products to electrical construction, and more.

ACCO Brands was honored because of a committed understanding of the value that safety brings to an organization. This is the third time that ACCO Brands has been awarded this title, something only 6 other companies have achieved.

To be considered as one of America’s Safest Companies, organizations must complete an application that requires them to demonstrate excellence in several areas: support from leadership and management for EHS efforts; employee involvement in the EHS process; innovative solutions to safety challenges; injury and illness rates lower than the average for their industries; comprehensive training programs; evidence that prevention of incidents is the cornerstone of the safety process; good communication about the value of safety; and a way to substantiate the benefits of the safety process.

ACCO Brands continues to demonstrate a commitment to safety and employee wellbeing at every turn. This award also comes on the heels of the company’s Sidney, NY manufacturing location receiving the prestigious 1 Million Hours Worked award from the National Safety Council, for completing 1 Million hours of work without a single workplace related injury or sick day.

The America’s Safest Companies Class of 2023 is: ACCO Brands, Cajun Industries, Jordan Foster Construction, Loven Contracting, MasterBrand Cabinets, Performance Contractors, Plastipak Packaging, Price Electric, S&B Engineers & Constructors, and Yaskawa Electric America.

The companies that have achieved that excellence in 2023 will be honored at an awards ceremony that is part of the Safety Leadership Conference in Orlando, Florida, September 18-20.
